Campaign Story
Hi, I’m Krysten. My husband and I are trying to grow our family, and this fundraiser is a really vulnerable step for us but also one filled with hope. He’s already a wonderful dad, and being part of their lives has been such a blessing. Still, we’ve both dreamed of having a child together, something that’s ours, something we create together out of the love we share.
This journey has been harder than we ever expected. Month after month, medications, ultrasounds, side effects, and the emotional rollercoaster that comes with waiting and hoping. We’re now preparing for IUI (intrauterine insemination), which gives us a real chance maybe our best chance to finally bring home the baby we’ve been praying for.
What makes it even tougher is that my husband is a truck driver, often gone for long stretches. Timing everything around his schedule has been stressful and heartbreaking at times, especially when we have to hit certain days for treatment, and he’s miles away trying to provide for our family.
And then there’s the financial side. Fertility treatments and medications add up so fast, and most of it isn’t covered by insurance. We’ve reached a point where, as much as we’ve tried to handle everything ourselves, we can’t move forward without help.
Asking for this is one of the hardest things I’ve done, but this means everything to us. Every donation big or small and every share brings us closer to being able to start IUI and build the family we’ve dreamed of together.
Thank you for reading our story, for supporting us, and for believing in our future little miracle.
